A Human Rights Amendment to the Constitution would Protect and Provide Citizens’ Human Rights to fulfill basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education, defense, and environment(s) fit for healthy living. And that includes those actions and resources involved in the procurement, production, use or consumption, and regeneration of basic needs.

In the absence of sufficient sponsored support to fulfill basic needs fit for healthy living, the Citizen should be and under a Human Rights Amendment would be, within their Human Rights to engage in ways and means to fulfill their basic needs fit for healthy living, as long as those ways and means do not violate another’s person, property, or Human Rights.

However, under the current interpretation of Citizenship, Citizens must go without the guarantee of basic needs, even if that means poverty.

But that is not the purpose of Citizenship and that is not the purpose of a Nation. The purpose of a Nation is to Protect and to Provide Citizens’ Human Rights to Basic Needs Fit for Healthy Living. Therefore, Human Rights to Basic Needs Fit for Healthy Living should be protected by Constitutional Amendment because Citizens’ have Human Rights to Basic Needs Fit for Healthy Living regardless of the economy, currency, or political party.

By signing this petition, you are acknowledging and notifying Congress of the need for the ratification of a Human Rights Amendment to the Constitution that would protect and provide Citizens’ Human Rights to basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education, defense, and environment fit for healthy living. And that includes those actions and resources involved in the procurement, production, use or consumption, and regeneration of basic needs.

  • ROAD to RATiFiCATiON

  • BUILD support from Citizens and from Congress.
  • PRESENTATION of the amendment language must be by a member of Congress for approval.
  • PROPOSAL approval by either a two-thirds majority vote in the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State Legislatures.
  • NOTIFICATION of the States from the National Archivist, sends official notification and materials to the governor of each state.
  • RATIFICATION of the proposed amendment by three-fourths of the states (38 of 50) in order to take effect. Congress may set a time limit for state action.
  • TIME LIMITS set by Congress are a dealing for ratification, after which the proposed amendment is considered dead if not ratified. The official count is kept by Office of the Federal Register at the National Archives. State Legislatures must return specific materials to show proof of ratification.
  • ANNOUNCEMENT is official when the archivist of the United States proclaims it as a new amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Actual certification is published immediately in the Federal Register and eventually in the United States Statutes-at-Large
